Shari is a registered psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience working with children, youth and adults in a variety of settings. She utilizes creative and dynamic approaches for each client and prides herself in her ability to build rapport quickly. She is passionate about working with persons who require support due to their social, emotional, intellectual and behavioural needs. Shari has completed training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Brief Therapy and Trauma Focused CBT as well as Trauma Incident Reduction. Shari also pulls from her 10 years as a Special Education Teacher and has experience adapting mainstream evidence based material for a variety of learning styles. Shari is also connected with Psychotherapy Matters - a program that can connect Shari’s clients with psychiatry consultations. Cassie has over 10 years of experience in social service agencies, with 7 of those providing direct counselling support to children, youth and adults struggling with anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, emotion regulation and trauma.
Cassie’s practice focus is on youth (12+) and young adults. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective counselling and practices from a laid-back and nonjudgmental approach with authenticity. After years of living abroad in Latin America and Asia, she decided to return to school to learn more about working in healthcare, specifically mental health. She has lived experiences moving to a new country, facing unanticipated challenges, and adapting to new cultures and languages. She is also a retired competitive athlete, which has helped her understand the many hurdles that people face. Brittany has completed training in cognitive behavioural therapy, somatic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and person centred therapy.
